Tx. trouble shooting for your ERROR

After looking into your direct x error, Turns out ALOT of guys are having the prob that play COD4. Some things that have worked for them was to Reinstall xfire or try the beta version. For some reason xfire and COD4 aren't playing nice with each other{Though on my end, everything seems fine.}
SUGGESTIONS FOUND:
Reinstall Xfire
Either re-install your drivers or get newer/older ones for ATI change to 7.2 and will fix it 7.10 has a pixel shader problem creating a crash this is a fix posted at www.charlieoscardelta.com (not sure I personally agree with this one Tx.
Though here is something you could try since we use Vent anyhow
Disabled the ingame-chat option in xfire and now the game runs without any prob. togehther with xfire
DIRECTIONS:
go to Tools | Options | Games tab. Highlight the installed game title
you wish to disable In Game chat for, click the Advanced Options
button, then check "Disable Xfire In-game." No Exit or log off is
required for this change.

By the way xfire is aware of this issue and are still trying to create a fix, Alot of guys still want to see the in game chat, Though hell we use vent and communication only needs to be with finding the server,
So i suggest just turning off ingame chat---it inables you to still havexfirerunning so you can join servers and just use in-game chat or Vent.

and I hadn't gotten around to getting the new registration key (Work
supplied). So I installed zonealarm and AVG in it's place. Though to
myself, "myself, why not give COD4 a final whirl before you venture out
and buy Vista". Lo and Behold it works!!!!
The only other thing I think may have contributed, I updated the mobo
drivers to the latest nForce4 ones, although I had tried the same
revision level drivers in the past to no avail.

Great news Napalm, glad to hear it, hopefully Tx sees this post sometime this mellenium and gets just as good of news. Though his posting has been lacking this week, hmmmmmm. Tx where things are bigger including but not limited to the brain. Before you think awww that was nice of Sage, its a proven fact that human brains are more intelligent the smaller they are, the larger ones indicate brain damage or some sort or retardation :-) Get ur butt in the forums :-)

now soldier, wuitting is not an option. What you need to do is call me. We will get it fixed, its clearly a software issue becuase you didnt have it until recently. We just need to back your drivers up and maybe reinstall the game. No biggie, i am here al week if ya need me.
