Request stop using GEN clan tag
Mon, 01/25/2010 - 22:36
Hello BRIG. I am a member of the American Generals Clan (GEN). We have been established since COD2 and before. Tonight I was on the Outlaws server playing and several of your members joined in. Oso-Brig- was one of those, and had our [GEN] tag in front of his name. I asked respectfully several times for him to remove it and he refused, and I believe left it at "Oh well". I am simply requesting that he not be disrespectful to our clan and remove the tag, as we would certainly not abuse your -BRIG- tag. Your assistance is very much appreciated.
Respectfully,
[GEN]-Blood-

Hey Blood im sorry if i offended you any way but we are tryin to use the clan tag to show level with in BRIG. i I just happened to use "gen" as joke with in our clan because im really a pv2 or so i jus thought it would be funny. i tried to explain in game but i think you didnt see it but its all just a mistake i hope you accept my apologies...
Blood, I honestly can vouch for Oso, he is our jokster, and since I am the CO, he was being funny. One of our leadership tried using that as our rank within BRIG, clearly we just found a reason it might be a problem. I assure you there was no disrespect intended, BRIG prides itself on its core values and Oso was just being funny.
I was there for this occourence and also in vent with Oso at the time. In fact it was my reccomendation to use that rank to bust on our CO. However this was when we were in a different server and it was just wild coincidence that we came across you.
Thanks for the responses. No offense taken at all. Just trying to protect our tag, hope you understand. I have played on servers before with some of you, and it's always been a good time! Mature and clean gaming. So thanks, and look forward to taking aim at each other in game again soon.
Best Regards. Blood.
Hoorah for Blood being so even about it. Now, lets string Oso up by his .................!
I was the one that started using the rank a placeholder for rank. Unfortunately, or joketser(s) chosen false rank coincided with a clan tag of another squad. I'm pretty certain this will be a rare, if not isolated indecent... Especially since Full Colonel is currently the highest rank in BRIG.
So here's my opinion... For some reason the programming community has decided that all clan tags go in front of a player's name, as opposed to behind. As opposed to giving us a choice. So one again, I take the stand that we don't allow the whims of the game programmers dictate how we conduct our business. I've been with BRIG for going on seven years now. I've bee around for 6 different games, all the way back to JO:TR. And we've ALWAYS had our clan tag behind our player name... Like a last name.... Like a family. Most everyone has a different first name, but we share a common last name. I like the way we do things. I don't think we should change every time some fucking programmers decide not to accommodate us. IN the last two games we've played, they've given us a perfect place to put our rank. I say we use it. Officially. And that means don't change it as a joke. There's plenty of shit to make fun of with all the noobs, and hoppers, and cry-baby, there's plenty to laugh at. But in the past our tags were dictated by the regs. I think we need to get back to that so we can at least give the appearance of order. LOL And Blood, if you're hanging about, for what it's worth. I'm sorry for the confusion. As you can see, we're taking steps to avoid it in the future.

I personally think it's irresponsible to choose a clan tag that is a Rank, and if you do so, then you have no right to bitch is someone is wearing it...
LOL OMG Tex!!! You instigator you!!! LMAO! Just couldn't help it. Even if you weren't trying to be funny, you were. LOL
