training and stuff

i'm at my ol' lady's house tonight hangin out with her while she's sick. she needs me but i could have been at home jamming because she's been asleep since i got here at around 4:30. well, i've been hangin out in the site for a while, reading old posts and i read the one about squad training and i was there for one before i was on the squad. it was quite a while ago but i think there was around 10 of us in there and we were in a cod4 server and doing knife training and snipers and formations. i checked the calendar and couldn't find anything in there about anything. i guess it's the new recruit in me, but, i was wondering if we could schedule some more of those training sessions

yes we can, according to our rules only leadership can create training sessions, I plan on more in the near future from me, but can not speak for the other leaders.
Training takes participation. We've had a lot of members with personal issues that k
have kept them away. And when that includes every single member of the leadership staff, well that pretty muck kills training for a while. However, since it looks like we're starting to recover from the recent lull, perhaps we'll start again. The question is, what are we going to train on/in. CoD4 is still our official primary game. And probably should remain so as long as two of our fire-team leaders can't play it. Not to mention some of us still prefer CoD4 over WaW. LOL

Maybe we could do a vote to see what our primary game is? Just an idea, until people can get upgraded. Besides WaW isn't going anywhere, we can always switch over once there are more mods and maps to tweak it how we like.
i'm pretty sure sage left me cod4 on here but i haven't tested that yet. worst case scenario, i'll go out and buy the game so i can get my own code for it. i'll try it out tonight and get back to you.
cod4 works but punkbuster keeps kicking me out of servers for log errors. i don't think there's a problem with my log, and i don't think someone with the first name "punk" should be telling me that there is something wrong with it. well, i guess i'll go buy the game this weekend.
Not to insult your intellegence but did you make sure that you have all of the patches installed and that punkbuster is fully updated?
i don't know alot of these things. i may have even been posting in the wron forum section with this matter. i'm new, and don't forget that i drink alot, so you might have to speak slow. i almost got into a fight at the bowling alley tonight because some drunk thought he could be disrespectful to my mother. then i come to find out that she instigated the whole thing. i'm better off spending time with the squad, i'm sure. i will see you all tomorrow evening.

Hey Wolff. You definitely need your own CD key to play on any PunkBuster protected servers (which, trust me you do). But PunkBuster can sometime still get out of date. Download PBSetup from here: http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php
Keep it on hand. And run it whenever you get more than one PB warning or kick from the same server.

wolff you have a legal copy, you should be able to play fine.
Ok so at this point wolff you need to figure out what version of cod4 you are running. Next, download the remaining patches after your version and install them in the right order. These patches can all be found by simply googling them or going to filefront. Once your patches are up to date, then install and run the PB update utility that Wrath supplied a link to. If you need help or have any questions then you can x-fire me most days after 6 and I can walk you through it.

all 7 of the patches were already installed and i update dthe punkbuster and it plays as it should. thanks guys

i generally like to use the big guns, ya know, the ones you can see sticking out around the corners when i'm trying to sneak up on you. cod 4 seems pretty laggy to me . maybe because i play 5 all the time and i haven't been in a whole lot of 4 servers to compare. the thing i like about 4 is that you can tell how much you've played because of the way it ranks you up. i can't remember what my rank is but i know i need to play it more.
